Oh, Have I Got a Story For You!

Life threw me a curveball last fall — a corporate layoff I didn't see coming.
But here's what I've learned in the months since: Being forced out gave me something corporate life never did. Space. Permission to ask what I actually wanted next instead of jumping right back in.
Will I go back to corporate life? Maybe. My own thing? Possibly. A mix of both? That might be the best of both worlds!
So, I started my own marketing consulting practice. Whether that is transitory or my next chapter? I'm still figuring that out. And when my friend Anna mentioned becoming an OLIVEDA consultant — diversifying income with something creative and fun — I thought, why not? Sometimes the best pivots are the ones you didn't plan.
Keep reading to see how I discovered OLIVEDA (spoiler: it involves olive oil shots).
My OLIVEDA Story…
For the last several years, my main focus has been the boys, obviously. Between triplet chaos and working full-time, skincare? Not even on the radar. Add in changing skin with each year, having gone pretty much straight from postpartum to perimenopause, who knew what would work.
So, when I saw my friend Anna at an event in October with a table full of olive oil, I wasn't looking for skincare. She was doing olive oil tastings — yes, shots of olive oil + lemon juice for health benefits. (Don't knock it 'til you try it!) I'm an olive oil person, so I picked up a bottle for myself and three as gifts.
Then Anna mentioned the skincare line. OLIVEDA. Made from mountain olive trees instead of 70% water filler found in other products. I grabbed their face cream, since I was needing a new moisturizer anyway.
That was three months ago.
My skin has genuinely improved — more hydrated, smoother texture. I've tried more of their products since, and I'm hooked.
When the opportunity came up to become a consultant, it was a no-brainer:
25% off products I'm already buying
Build an income stream doing something creative and fun
A mission-driven company funding water wells in Africa (think Bombas + TOMS)
Here's the thing...
If you've found skincare that works for you, stick with it! I just hadn't found what worked for me yet. If you're curious, I'd love for you to explore the rest of my site. 💚
